Actual State

During the last period, in spite of depression in investment activities in our region, we have succeeded as one of few designing organizations in the strongly competitive market. Foreign companies in newly establishing industrial zones have become our main partners during this difficult period. We took part in implementation of such constructions as : U.S.Steel Košice – Cutting line No 15, No16 and Tinning line No 2; Vojany – New cooling tower for K5 and K6 blocks EVO I; Molex Slovakia a.s. in Kechnec – Connector Systems Production and Printing Hall; Plastic Omnium in Lozorno – Production plants for exterior and interior plastic parts for cars; ARTEM CE s r.o. – Plant BOURBON FABI SK; SKANSKA CZ a.s. – Plant FAURECIA AUTOMOTIVE in Hlohovec; GALATEK a.s. - Paint Shops in ŽOS Trnava and Zvolen; Kovohuty a.s. – Modernization of production in the pit furnace, and others.

In order to meet demanding requirements of investors, we constantly expand and improve equipment of our workplaces with computer technology, and at the same time we also increase requirements for expertise and language skill of our designers.

The managing director of the company has proclaimed “Quality Policy” of the joint stock company in the sequence of statement of the Board of Management of company HPK engineering.a.s. to establish Quality Management Systems according to the standards STN EN ISO series 9000.

The company obtained the certificate of quality according to the standards ISO 9001 from the company SGS in year 2001. HPK engineering a.s. was re-certified according to the standard ISO 9001:200 in December 2003 by company SGS.

Company History

HPK engineering.a.s. was founded on 10th November, 1958 as the designing section of the Bratislava branch of Hutný projekt Praha. Since 1st. January, 1961 it had become the plant of Hutný projekt Praha. On 1^st. January, 1970 the independent enterprise under commercial name Hutný projekt Košice was established, which was transformed from the state owned enterprise to the joint stock company on 1st. May, 1992 and the entire company was transferred to the private property.

The company was established in relation to the construction of VSŽ Košice, and they assured subsequently the territorial co-ordination of industrial plants of the region (Vihorlat Snina, Vagónka Poprad, VSS Košice, Vagónka Trebišov, MEZ Michalovce, ČKD Dukla Šariš).

The main scope of the activity of the company is aimed at technical assistance during preliminary project preparation, designining and engineering. Composition, many years' professional experience and education of the management have allowed to realise this constructions such as Production of Cu wires in Kovohuty Krompachy, Mölnlycke Gemerská Hôrka, and others.
